SharinPix Form Template Editor
Overview
The SharinPix Form Template Editor is a dedicated tool within Salesforce that empowers users to create, edit, and manage form templates. With an intuitive drag-and-drop interface, the editor simplifies the form-building process by allowing users to add various field types, integrate media capture capabilities, and preview their forms in real-time.
Prerequisites:
Before using the SharinPix Form Template Editor, ensure the following:
- Users must have the SharinPix Forms permission set assigned.
You have the latest SharinPix Package Verison Installed. Refer to this documentation to update your package.
Getting Started
Form Elements
Users can add the following types of elements to their forms:
Basic Elements
| Element | Description |

| Title | Adds a section title to the form. |
| Paragraph | Inserts descriptive text or instructions in the form. |
| Submit | A button to submit the form. |
Input Elements
| Element | Description |

| Text | Single-line text input for short entries like names or email addresses |
| Number | Input field that only accepts numerical values, with optional min/max limits |
| Radio | Group of buttons that allow selecting one option from a group of choices |
| Textarea | Multi-line text input field for longer content like comments or descriptions |
| Capture Photos | Button that allows users to take and attach photos via SharinPix Mobile App. Actions available: Capture, PDF and Template-Image |
| Checkbox | Toggle input for making yes/no or true/false selections |
| Select | Dropdown menu for choosing one option from a list |
| Multi-Select | Dropdown menu that allows choosing multiple options from a list |
| Signature | Captures drawn signatures. |
| Sketch | Drawing canvas with basic tools for freehand sketches and annotations |
Quick Add Elements
| Element | Description |

| Header | Inserts a header section, i.e a Title and a Text |
| Emoji Selection | Allows users to select responses using emoji reactions. |

To use the SharinPix Form Template Editor, follow these steps:
Step 1: Access the Form Template Editor
- Open the Salesforce App Launcher.
- Search for SharinPix Form Templates.
- Click on the SharinPix Form Templates object.
Step 2: Create a New Form Template
- Click the New button to create a new record.
- Fill in the Form Template Name and Description fields.
- Click Save to create the template record.
Step 3: Using the Form Builder
- Use the available buttons to insert form elements such as text fields, checkboxes, and dropdowns.
- Arrange sections by dragging and dropping elements.
- The Preview button allows users to see the form in real-time.
Step 4: Managing Form Details
- The Details Tab contains form metadata such as the template name and description.
- The Related Objects Section includes:
- Form Elements: Displays components added to the form.
- Form Responses: Stores submitted form data.
Step 5: Saving and Previewing the Form
- Click Save to store the current template.
- Click the Preview button to open the form in a new tab and review its appearance.
Tips:
- Frequently use the Preview feature to verify the user experience.
- Keep forms concise to improve completion rates.
Integration with SharinPix Mobile Form Launcher
Forms templates created with SharinPix Form Template Editor can be linked with the SharinPix Mobile Form Launcher component. This will permit the filling in of forms through the SharinPix Mobile App.
Info:
You cannot create form templates using the SharinPix Form Template Editor on mobile.
